HOW TO GO 

It super easy just go to HSR taichung  station ( if you from other city or in taichung also) exit no.5, wait at line no.3 to Nantou, you can see the timetable by clicking here. It takes around 1 hour drive till you arrive at Shuishe harbour. 

 

*BEWARE* off some taxi driver that offer you way to sunmoonlake because sometimes they can be annoying, but if you want to more comfy and private way you can use their taxi, price around NT$200/person (the price that they offer me but i dont know the exact price)

And at exit5, you can also see NANTOU BUS BOOTH, this is the official sunmoonlake your that sell some entrance package like boat tour, ropeway ticket and etc in one package so it will be cheaper, you can see some package by clicking here before you decided to buy

 

Me and my friend bought this NT$390 PACKAGE

 included boat tour (ori price NT$300),

rope way roundtrip ticket (oriprice NT$300)

, Round the lake bus pass (ori price NT$80)

and Shuishe-Xiangshan bus (ori price NT$24).

1st POINT

SHUISHE VISITOR CENTER

here where you can exchange your lake pass into actuall boat ticket and just few steps to the harbour.

2nd POINT

SHUISHE HARBOUR

This the place where you ride on the boat. It can be confusing which boat you will ride, but if you use Sun moon lake pass, go to no.1 to take your boat. AAND with this boat, you connected to some tourist attractions around the lake.

3rd POINT

(1st BOAT TOUR STOP)

XUANGUANG TEMPLE

Not a big fan of temple, just a temple located in a hill so you can see whole lake from up and famous with egg that cooked by tea. Done AHAHA next

4th POINT

(2nd BOAT TOUR STOP)

SUNMOON LAKE CABLE CAR

My favorite part of the trip. Not just taking a cable car, but right after docking, you can see small living area around sunmoonlake, like a small market where you can buy food and drinks. And after that, talk a walk to the cable car station around 1km from the market. The cable car not really long it just take around 10mins ride/oneway. But the view just so facsinating. And in the end of cable car ride, you can find aborigin theme park around NT$850/person or just buy NT$1060 sunmoonlake nantou pass that already include themepark pass on it.

And we took boat back to Shuishe Pier center for the last part of the trip and took bus back to Taichung city. I was very surprised with super beautiful sunmoonlake and how big the lake is. So dont forget to put it as your must visit list in Taiwan. ciao!!!
