Can't be said cheap because if i compared to Korea, suprisingly Shanghai living cost is similar and even sometimes more expensive! For local coffee shop, it costs around ¥40 or ₩8000!! Omg. . .

P.s if you out of budget here our tips
#1 bring your own drink bottle. Because mostly restaurant doesn't provide water and bottle water sells ¥6/ bottle
#2 WALK WALK WALK mostly tourist objects located not really far from the other around 1-3km. I love walking but i was with my parents so i took bus or MRT more.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After itinerary and all the money that we used now i will give you detail and some important travel tips

#1 BEST TIME TO VISIT
Cant suggest you as you know 4 season countries always good all the times. BUT avoid mid summer if you hate sun because china is super duper hot on summerday

#2 VISA NEEDED?
I thought all countries need visa to china? Perhaps HAHA you can apply chinese visa max 3 months before departure and for you who stay in Korea, you can check here how to apply chinese visa in Korea.

#3 MONEY!
CHINA YUANε…ƒ
China can be said super modern because mostly they transaction using alipay on mobile so you can make your account there OR just bring cash because some of local merchants like minimart or restaurant can't accept foreign cards.

#4 INTERNET CONNECTION
You know right GOOGLE, YOUTUBE, and many of our daily apps blocked in China? So prepared your handphone with VPN APP before entering China. And for wifi, renting on airport is very recommended since if you use local sim card can be much expensive for data. Usually it cost around USD 5-7/day for router rent.

#5 AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION TO CITY CENTER
In Shanghai, they have 2 airport, one is Hongqiao Airport for domestic flight and Pudong International Airport (SHA/PVG) where we all usually arrive.
Hongqiao is much closer to city center ( if can be compared like Tokyo haneda) and Pudong is quite far around 45 mins by car. But for public transportation here are some choices for you
Regular MRT line 2 // 7ε…ƒ// 1 hour
Maglev express train // 50ε…ƒ// 8mins
Shuttle bus// CNY 20// 1 hour

MY EXPERIENCES
PUDONG- CITY i took Maglev because i was curious HAHA it super fast around 300km/hour. So it took only 8mins from airport till Longyang MRT station and than i changed to regular MRT line 2 to East nanjing road which my hotel located. So total travel time (8mins+15mins) 23 mins

CITY-PUDONG i was not in a rush so i tried regular train. It cost me super cheap just CNY7. But from East nanjing road i rode the train till Guanglan Rd. (Still in the same line) and transfered to special airport line, with total travel time 1 hour.

Both are super convenient. Following your time and budget you can adjust your transportation choice :)

  5. Getting to the airport isn't the easiest thing and can be more difficult for those travelling with a lot of luggage and family members. One option to forget about the logistics of reaching the airport on time is to make use of an airport taxi service. airport taxi
