[JAPAN] JOZANKEI ONSEN DAY TRIP

Winter trip in Japan is never completed without visiting Onsen, and as i was pregnant at that time, my Doctor suggested not getting a hot bath BUT WHOCARE  hahahaaha kidding just a short dip wont hurt :p so we were looking online and found this little "onsencity" closest to Sapporo only 1.5 hours drive YES perfect!! So here it is!

JOZANKEI

We bought onsen-one-day-pass package ¥2200/person including oneday bus ticket + onsen entrance fee
You can check here for day trip or  Bus website just for the transport schedule

Well i found this quite complicated at the start because too many website to open, so i will make it super ez for you guys

1. Visit Jozankei official tourism website if you want to stay there some hotel provides free transport from Sapporo
2. If not, you just wanna do day trip, read carefully day trip pdf
3. Book day trip + Kappa liner bus schedule to save your travel time, here

Done, ok back to story

We took 1st bus Kappa liner ( they have regular bus that stop many time and Kappa liner that stop only in Sapporo and direct to Jozankei area) 9.40am don't forget to print your reservation or they won't let you get on the bus and after 1 hour-ish we arrived at Jozankei Shako Mae bus stop and heading to our onsen. If you see the day trip package, they have some list of onsen that come with the package. We choose Yunohana Jozankeiden because they have outdoor onsen which i love for snowy dayy.

We paid more ¥500 for towel and onsen uniform. The entrance is huge and as you came inside the onsen it feels old and vintage. After shower, i dipped to Outdoor onsen pool which heaven really :") cold and warm onsen water, couldn't be more perfect. And after done, we went to 2nd floor, they have big dining area and resting space.

After done dipping, we walked across the onsen place, and found Jozankei temple. They held special winter lantern festival everyyear end of january till early february ( 2024 jan 27th ~ feb 11th) but we didn't see it since it starts around 5 pm, so if you have longer time here, pleaae check it out.

For lunch, not many option of restaurant here, but we managed to find, pizza& gelato restaurant named
Ame no Hi to Yuki no Hi(Rainy day & snowy day)
雨ノ日と雪ノ日
2 Chome-41 Jozankeionsennishi, Minami Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido 061-2303, Japan
We ordered margarita and Gelato ( black sesame & vanilla) but forget the price ( not that expensive) but the pizza dough really my type of pizza, it's crispy on the edge but super doughy kinda mochi texture in the middle and they made their own tomato sauce on the pizza, looked simple but so hearty. And their gelato, sticky & bold flavour love it so much! And they provides free hot coffee for any order.

After done eating, we were just waiting for bus back to Sapporo. What a lovely day trip, i felt recharge and happy with the view. Onto the next trip !
