[JAPAN]HOKKAIDO: 샤코탄 SHAKOTAN

This western part of Hokkaido, is super famous with clear blue water seaside driving course. Along the peninsula, you can do lots of water activities like diving, snorkeling, or even just enjoying view of the coast.

HOW TO GO

Unfortunately this area is quite hard to be explored because of limited number of public transport and I am not really sure about the train, but mostly people in Google recommended rent a car BUT it’s not me if I give up with public transport HAHA even it’s super limited I explored everthing by bus. Firstly, I took bus from Sapporo Bus Terminal NO.1 but always PAY ATTENTION ON BUS SCHEDULE since bus from Sapporo to Cape Kamui IS ONLY ONCE A DAY once you miss it you have to start from Otaru Bus Terminal HAHA for bus schedule click here

You can adjust all schedule following by places that you want to visit but here it is my schedule!

TAKE BUS FROM SAPPORO STATION TO CAPE KAMUI

It was a super worth not sleeping drive HAHA even that day it was super gloomy but you can see beautiful seashore along the way. And after around 3 hours drive, we arrived in Cape Kamui, it was super windy like crazy. From entrance to the cliff, it takes only around 20 mins walking and from up you can really see super pretty turquoise clear water. I can’t even imagined how pretty it is if the sky so clear. And around parking lot area, you can take a rest, have a meal or just snacking like me, I bought Shakotan blue softserve, they said it MINT FLAVOUR but not sure HAHA I dodn’t taste any mint flavor inside more like vanilla but special vanilla haha.

TAKE BUS FROM CAPE KAMUI TO BIKUNI

So here is our next destination, BIKUNI. It quite random that we arranged it here HAHA we decided to do snorkeling in a super random lil city HAHA when we arrived from bus station to snorkeling center was super near around 10 mins walk. So we found this from ACTIVITIESJAPAN.COM, so here you can find so many activities in Japan, we reserved it 2 weeks before our date and it’s quite cheap

Firstly, in our mind, snorkeling in Indonesia is super simple but in Japan crayyyy since the water was quite cold that time around 16 degree, we used snorkeling suit but I felt like I wanna diving HAHA super thick complete suit

It super fun while snorkeling, it not just snorkeling, we hunted ( not eat just hunt) UNI MANNNN UNI or Japan sea urchin, sea cucumber, and special fat japan squid? HAHA and went into blue cave. SUPER FUNNNN thanks to our guide @susukino for make it super fun.

After done snorkeling, because we did last schedule ( starts 3pm-5pm) all restaurant have closed so we ate at conbini or convenient store, unfortunately they didn’t have any seat inside so we sat in a parking lot HAHA

So we put some stuff in Bikuni bus stop which also information center’s locker and when we went back after eat, it already closed…. But thanks to stranger who helped us to called Information worker. BE CAREFUL GUYS! HAHA
