[KOREA] 통영 TONGYEONG

After done exploring Geoje, this city is the perfect place as the next visit because it located right next to Geoje. Perfect place to do island hopping since this city is blessed with many small islands around.

TRANSPORTATION FROM/TO TONGYEONG

It is quite decent city, so it has lots of bus schedule to Seoul or city around it. You can take bus from every bus terminal in Seoul ( Dongseoul, Nambu, and Gyeongbu) to Tongyeong with travel time around 4hours drive & ticket price around ₩33000, and if you come from Busan, it just takes around 1 hour drive.

As i said before, it has many public bus to explore around the city with bus interval around 10-15 mins ( quite similar to Seoul and Busan), so it doesn't really necessary to take taxi or even rent a  car

ACCOMODATION 

So many choices of hotel and resorts around but i stayed in Jimjibang like usually HAHA i stayed at 테마사우나 thema sauna (경상남도 통영시 중앙로 24)  for ₩11000/night it located  around ferry terminal area and around 20 mins bus ride.

I found not so many place to visit than temples and museum and i am not historical kinda person so bye bye HAHA so the only place that i visited in Tongyeong is CABLE CAR. I thought this as #1 must do in tongyeong since you can see the whole tongyeong and southern sea islands from top of Mt. Mireuksan. It just takes around 10 minutes / oneway but the view is super breathtaking!!

And after you reach the top, you can enjoy the view from the most beautiful restarea that you've ever seen OR observatory. So many choices of observatory here, you can just take one floor up or do lil hiking/

CURHAT TIMEEEEEEEE :( so actually the next day, i planned to do island hopping from ferry terminal to bijindo and island around BUT suddenly because of thyphoon prediction, all ferry schedule was cancelled till 3 days later so no choice than i have to go back to Seoul. So i recommended if you have many spare time, you can just do one day trip to some islands around tongyeong, hope can come here nexttttt time i don't know when :(

[KOREA] GEOJE: 해금강&외도보타니아 HAEGEUMGANG & OEDO BOTANIA

This beautiful human made botanical garden has superfascinating view ever! With blue clear sea surrounding the island. Summer time can be said as the best visit time, since you can see the contrast between super greeny garden with blue sky and sea, but some people also said you can see flower lands if you come here around spring time. But to be honest, the summer heat, I just couldn’t handle it but in sake of pictures not doubt

HOW TO GO

Take ferry from Geoje around 20 mins boat ride. I took from Wahyeon ferry terminal, you can make reservation online on their website http://www.oedocruise.com/main.php and get early bird discount ( normal price ₩18000 -> ₩15000) with route WAHYEON – HAEGEUMGANG – OEDO BOTANIA – WAHYEON. And OEDO BOTANIA entrance fee ₩11000. You can also choose one without Haegeumgang, but trust me it is worth to visit. So for total travel time starting from Wahyeon and back it just around 2 hours and 30 mins. They depart every one hour and start at 7am ( but schedule can change depends on weathers)

Departure time! 15 mins before it, you should ready near the port. Since that day, 9am depart boat is the first, not so many people joint it, me and other customers just around 20 persons in total. And after we got into it ( well actually i don't know what i suppose to call it, boat? ship? or what? HAHA) and after simple briefing, They gave me tag, so in case of missing, we have our boat? ship? ID.

After 15 mins, the captain told us to get out and see, HAEGEUMGANG, or literally translated into Mountain in the sea. As you getting closer to these rocks, you can see turquoise water around the rocks and also for some parts, the ship can get inside it!! and we went around it around 30mins

Finally we arrived to the main attraction. Oedo botania already looked green and pretty from distance. And as you arrived it, the captain will inform meeting time and you can enjoy strooling around it by yourself around 1 hour and 30mins. It was hard because of the weather just too hot and i was flooded with sweat. It takes only around 20mins till you reach the top of the hill where you can see the whole garden from above and there is a cafe to where you can chill for a bit OMGGG you know when i reached the top and ordered lemon tea at the cafe it just took me less than 5 mins to drink it. And the view just super lovely!!!! enjoy your drink and sit by the terrace <3

At first, i thought it won't be enough enjoying this all view within 1 hour and 30 mins but actually i just needed around 1 hour only till i went back to the entrance port. I just fascinated with everything here, the view, the sea, everything <3 Now i knew why it super famous around Korean. So don't forget to pay a visit!
