SLICE OF HEAVEN GRAND INDONESIA

 TAA-DAA finally another restaurant review, I just went home from Grand Indonesia with my mami and brother and I met my friend, IVANA. And 4 of us, crazily craving newly opened restaurant after we looked a picture in Hans danial's instagram. So tempting melting cheese in a big pan, We wondered what's that? And finally we know that is SLICE OF HEAVEN.

It is located beside Qbilliard, across Common People, on the 5th floor West Mall, Grand Indonesia. Easy to be found. Quite spacy place with clean light blue, white and woody interior. But too bad, there are only about 3 waiters ( that I saw) So the service is quite slow?! And I dont care about that, I just directly chose my seats and after minutes, waiter came and gave me the menu. My first impression is WOW KINDA PRICEY. But it's ok i just hoping its taste would worth the price. and it's weird because this restaurant has a connecting door to Q billiard? maybe they are in the same group? HAHA

APPETIZER

PORK BACON WRAP

I RECOMMED THIS AS THE BEST! sorry guys with the caps, but these rolls are crazily lovely fat madness! Pork belly wrapped with bacon and mayonaise dipping. When you bite it, feels like your mouth is being ripped, melting fat, creamy mayo LOVE! Taste 9/10

MAIN COURSE

TOFU BEEF CHEESE

IDR 85,000

Looked so delicious in instagram doesnt guarantee it gonna taste amazing. Hmm it just failed, too pricey for tofu with minced beef and top with melting cheese and baked potato. Tofu is tasteless & minced beef tasted like regular bolognese sauce. Taste 6/10

 DESSERT

NUTELLA & MASCARPONE PANCAKE

IDR 75,000

 Hoped it gonna be sweet ending but...... it disappointed me again :( This even more expensive then pancious' men! Pancake texture is just too rough like too much flour in it and I dont taste any mascarpone. Sorry for being so rude but that's the truth. Taste 4/10

And another too pricey thing here is their drink. I ordered Heaven Breeze, Mango juice with some fresh cut fruits, mango, peach, strawberry, and passion fruit. Tasted hmm standard. Beside jug size, you can ordered it in glass priced around IDR 60,000. Tasted 6/10

Beside those menu that I've ordered, actually They have pizza and waffle menu, but it didnt ready yet. So the conclusion, It lower than what I expected or maybe I expected too much? I don't think so. With that "standard" price, I think people will put their expectation as high as me did. I just suggest as they can't lower the price, I hope they can improve their menu. Today was my first time and would be the last if they dont have pork bacon wrap hahaha because I crazily addict with anything contain pork . Everybody has their own point of view, hasn't it? Try it by yourself, maybe I did it wrong HAHA ciao!

PANCIOUS

  Hello fat people! Yesterday, My sister and I went to Plaza Indonesia for watching some new movies.Before movie, We felt so hungry and craved for some sweets and we decided for having PANCIOUS as our dinner. So long never eat pancious, until they changed their concept. Love their new ambiance, feels so warm and homey. The service is nice and fast. Didn't take to long my order is coming!

 

DUCK AND MUSHROOM FETTUCINI IDR 72K

just never enough with pasta. Super aldente fettucini in creamy sauce. I love their carbonara, it's not watery, creamy enough and not stinky but also not flooding pasta. I almost couldn't identify between ducks and mushrooms, both of them are in the same big size. The duck is so tender and so does the mushroom. And there is some smokey beef slices that gave it a lil smoke sensation. Score 9/10.

 

CARAMELIZED BANANA CREPES CAKE IDR 49K

I hardly decided which topping that I really wanted because to many choices! Since I am a huge fan of caramel, I chose caramelized banana HAHA because it thought it must be good. After chose it, I was confused with "P" and "C" under the menu, I asked the waiter, oalaahh actually "P" stands for Pancake and "C" stands for crepes cake or thousand layers cake. HEM because pancake is too main-streamed, I tried crepes cake. Here you can also choose the ice cream, whether it chocolate, vanilla, or cookies and cream. and taa-daa my final order is caramelized banana crepes cake with cookies and cream ice cream. When it came, i was just speechless.... SO BEAUTIFUL :3 Maybe it has about 20  layers crepes with fresh cream so yummy! not so heavy cream, you wont get nausea. Cut it a little, then cut a banana a little, take icecream a little, then dip it into caramel sauce LOVE LOVE <3 caramel sauce is so light, lower than my expectation, but it's good enough, and the ice cream scoop is so big ( maybe because it's not dinner time not too crowded). Score 8.8/10

 

LEMONADE IDR 32K

My sister choice. So sour refresing drink after lots of creamy dishes, quite heavy soda. Since I am not a fan of soda, I scored it 7.5/10

 

GREEN APPLE ICE TEA IDR 34K

My choice! RECOMENDED! So lovely flavoured ice tea. Bitter tasted from tea and sweet taste from apple essence plus fresh cubes of green apple really made my thirsty throat fullfilled.

Overall, Pancious is so yummy! Their dishes are better than Nanny's pavillon instead of their restaurant concept. I'll try their other confusing choices of sweet and savory pancakes soon <3

COCO CURRY HOUSE best curry in town!

Last thursday night, I hung out with my office mates for some birthday treats YEYEEEE I just started my diet on Wednesday and it died on the next day BZ BZ BZ well shortly, I finally done making this review after this second visits, COCO CURRY HOUSE! Newly opened restaurant in Grand Indonesia, located next to pancious. Actually, I have seen Coco in Japan, so attractive displays but I am not a curry fan so I prefer eat ramen or sushi he he he But if I compared with other outlets in other countries, Indonesia's choice of menu is fewer. But it's ok, it still eye-catching and succeed make me confused with lots of choice of topping 

And how to order? Call the waiter lah LOL kidding. There are 2 kinds of curry, omelete curry or original curry. For Omelete curry, you can't customize it but for the original one you can! For you who in diet, you can less the rice (150g - less IDR 5K), or order the standard size (250g), or for your super hungry belly you can upsize the rice (350g - add. IDR 10K)(450g - add IDR 20k)(550g - add IDR 30K). Challenge yourself with the spiciness level 1 to 5, or add some additional topping to your curry!! You also can upgrade it with "SET A" = get a mini salad + any drink or "SET B" = get a mini salad + any drink + ice cream and jelly as dessert.

The Hamburg is so yummy!!! I dont know what coco does with it, It just like heaven in a palm hand size minced beef unomnomnom when you take a bite it tasted so tender like melting in your mouth, combined it with sour fresh tomato and curry sauce CAN'T STOP!!! and for the salad, I like the dressing, sour and fresh, and for lemon tea, tasted watery and the glass is too small :p

 STEAMED CHICKEN OMELET CURRY IDR 70K
i am totally in love with the omelet from the first time it came into my mouth, perfectly smooth, creamy, not overcooked, speechless........steamed chicken can be my guilty medicine after ate all of the rice because it doesn't contain fat #LIAR so smooth, creamy, and tender :9

CHICKEN CUTLET OMELET IDR 80KChicken cutlet tasted so tender and quite big and for curry itself is not too thick so flavory and yummy!

CREAM & MUSHROOM OMELET IDR 60K blow me away!!! totally gorgeously creamy! Combination of curry sauce and heavy cream is perfect although only with mushroom but tasted so fancy! Score : 100/100!
