One of my top list west coast! Doing roadtrip along route 66. It much easier when you depart from Las Vegas just around 2-3 hour drivesaway. Route 66 starts from LA to Chicago area super long highway. So it can be a long long roadtrip if you have long time, but because i just had 1 day for it so i will share to you all,

1 DAY TRIP ROUTE 66 & WEST SIDE GRANDCANYON

LAS VEGAS - OATMAN CITY

(2 hours drive)

Oatman city is one of many cities included in route 66. Super unique with many donkeys around and you know old american style like you see in cowboy movie. You can eat diner style or just grab a beer or buy some souvernir along shops around the city. And stop by cool spring station, old gas station that turned as souvernir store that become The cars movie inspiration of radiator spring.

OATMAN- KINGSMAN

(50 mins drive)

From oatman, you can go to Kingsman to have a lunch break and fill your fuel here. Kingsman also oldcity in Route 66. You can try their diner, and check Route 66's museum 

KINGSMAN - GRAND CANYON WEST SIDE

( 1hour 50mins drive)

Final stop and highlight of this trip is GRANDCANYON. Omg!!!! Finally not only in my laptop desktop, i can see it my self. WELL grand canyon is humongous!!! I just choose the closest from Las Vegas. But actually once again, if you have lots of time, just go to Utah area Grand canyon east side & horse bend ( but it takes around 6hours drive from Las Vegas). Back to grand canyon west side, we arrived around 4pm which ALMOST CLOSE omg they close daily at 5pm. They have some tickets which you can order online here

Well it quite pricey tho HAHA but ok just once life time. From ticket locket, we took a bus up to the first point, EAGLE POINT. Just around 10 mins bus ride. There if you has skywalk ticket you can do it their, or just like me, i just looked around, bought some souvernir and saw some hualapai, canyon local house. But really it really majestic huge especially in golden hours time super beautiful!!!

NEXT up, GUANO POINT so from eagle point it takes only 10mins. Another view of grand canyon, super pretty:") 

GRAND CANYON - LAS VEGAS

LONGGG DRIVE BACK :(  super scary and tiring because no light along the way haha be careful because sometimes you can find wild animals. Super trip hope this itinerary fits you who just looking for short trip to grandcanyon and area.
