[KOREA] DAEJEON : 성심당 SUNGSIMDANG BAKERY &CAFE

Since few years ago, i found this bakery in Daejeon like super boom with people and claimed a the oldest bakery in Korea. Located in the middle of Jungang area makes it super find to found AND even from jihachul or mrt they have special sign way out to here ㅋㅋ

literary fried bread like fried donut with many filling, but i recommended 팥 pat or redbean as their best seller. Super soft bread but crispy on top like cookie crumble.

Regular choco bread layer filled with thick dark choco ganache which is my top favorite ingredient hikkkkk too good to be true, maybe before i reviewed about An's bakery in Gimpo airport lotte about the same item ( but different price ₩3500) but here the chocolate is much thicker, walnut layered with dark choco everything good but 빵이 더 부드러우면좋겠다 ㅋㅋ

Wtf with the name HAHA super airy puff pastry with red bean and cream filling. Yummm but thr pastry just too light for me not really filling but fit the best as snack.

If you know usually jumokbab or korean hand rice ball usually made by rice but this time made by sticky rice and deep fried SUPER FULLING!!! fatty but good served hot as breakfast. I dont thing so many things inside just sticky rice, seaweed, and egg?

DONE CHOOSING BREAD and confusing where to eat? Here they have cafetaria on 2nd floor where you can eat your bread and order some hot food and coffee. They even provide microwave to heat up your bread.

Even after that day, on the next day i came back and buy more for bring back to seoul. Super good and recommended! Dont forget to try it when you are in Daejeon. Love ♡

So this time i went to Daejeon. It's a city located down south part of Seoul right in the middle of Korea. Daejeon also claimed as 5th biggest city in Korea after Seoul,Busan,Incheon, and Daegu. Actually nothing special in this city but i found out some places that makes u come here specially on Autumn so Lets check it out!

TRANSPORTATION TO DAEJEON

from seoul station to 대전역 Daejeon station or 서대전 West daejeon station

By KTX ₩23700 - 50 minutes

By SRT ₩16000 - 1 hour 45 minutes

By Mugunghwa ₩10800 - 2 hours

from 서울경부 seoul gyeongbu bus terminal to

대전복합 bokhap - main bus terminal near daejeon station

대전도룡- south daejeon

대전천사 - north west daejeon

대전유성- west daejeon

( depends on what area you want to visit)

By regular Bus ₩9600 // premium bus ₩14900 - 1 hours 50 minutes

TRANSPORTATION IN DAEJEON

They have MRT and it's simple only has 1 line. Or you can use local bus or taxi, but mostly i used bus.

ACCOMODATION IN DAEJEON

In Daejeon, so many choices of hotel and hostel. I stayed at jjimjilbang as usually HAHA i suggest you stay near Daejeon station since it also near with market and shopping area so it's super convenient.

BEST PLACE TO VISIT IN DAEJEON

Daejeon actually doesnt really have much to offer inside the city, so on autumn trip there's some hidden beautiful place that still inside daejeon but not in the heart of daejeon city, ride a bus for 1 hour more and you'll find these beauties.

[KOREA] DAEJEON: 중앙시장과으능정이거리 JUNGANG MARKET & EUNEUNGJEONGI STREET

Walk outside from Daejeon Station you can directly see the real life of Daejeon people, you barely can see young people here mostly fills with ahjumma and ahjussi with their small market trolley HAHA you can find everything here because the market divides into many sections.

Just walk distance right across Daejeon station

Get out from West exit of Jungang market, you can see Daejeon stream. And from there just go straight crossing the stream and you will find the other face of market that full of youngers of daejeon.

Walk from daejeon st. Around 800m or take train and get off at 중앙로역 jungang st. Exit 4.

You can fill like Hongdae area, so many shops and restaurants. But here famous because of the LED street so you can send mms message and your picture to the operator and you can see your message will popup on the screen :3
