[VIETNAM-CAMBODIA] LESS THAN 12 HOURS IN PHNOMPENH

They called it land of temples yes i've never imagined about this country. But after browsed, it is quite near with vietnam so me and my boyfie planned to go there. 

CAMBODIA 

Unique facts:

#1 they use US DOLLAR and give change in CAMBODIAN RIEL so becareful it will make you confused

1US$= KMR 4000

#2 all tourists objects close to each other within walk distance ( 500m~1km)

#3 main transportation : TUKTUK so if you lazy take it! Usually half day tour or one day tour costs US$ 4-10

From vietnam you can take flight for saving your time or taking a bus for budget saver. We took " mekong express bus" from phamngulao area in hcmc direct to Phnompenh, the capital city for about 7 hours drive. Many people comes here just for transit before go to the main city attraction, Siam reap. Because actually no many things to be seen in this city. If you browsed from Tripadvisor, youll find Genoside museum and Khmer killing field museum to visit. But for me, those place is creepy and scary, so i skipped to more touristy happy place HAHA so here some of things

VISIT THE ROYAL PALACE

SUPER PRETTY ♡ i thought cambodia is more to thailand side. You can see the royal palace pretty similar looked with Thailand royal palace also. If you historical lover go inside but if you like me just do picnic outside of it HAHA

I also not entered this museum because it mostly focuses on sculpture HAHA. And at night usually they also perform traditional dance here.

damn it i came here to late and it closed hikkkk it still looked fancy even at night. It super big so you can buy everything local here.

Their street food super similar sith vietnamese. Banh mi, pork satay, fried banana, just fit my taste ♡ cost so cheap and dont forget to ask price before order.

TRYING CAMBODIAN KFC

the best experience me and my boyfie ever had in phnompenh yes their KFC TASTED LIKE HEAVEN. Fun fact in Cambodia DOESNT HAVE MCDONALDS cray right?? Ckckckckc so we had kfc and here kfc all priced using USDOLLAR. We ordered 3 chickens+side dish ( bread and mashed potato)+ drink ( they have LEMONTEA!!) and additional potato wedges for USD 8? So cheap and yummy even better tasted than indonesian kfc  HAHAHA

[VIETNAM-CAMBODIA] HALONG BAY DAY TRIP EXTRA KAYAKING BY THE SIHN TOURIST

HALONG BAY DAY TRIP

After long researched #azek, cruise day trip, or overnight trip, or stay near by the boat terminal, finally we decided to take another (just) day trip with The sihn tourist. So we booked it while we were in hcmc. The reason #1 is actually me personally scared later if i take 2days 1 night cruise in halongbay it gonna be boring and reason #2 it quite expensive tho HAHA so it super a right decision! For just a day trip to halong because it more than enough since the weather was also super glommy. But if you wanna enjoy more or see sunrise or sunset you can take 2days trip. So....

The price

Included: pickup from hotel and back, lunch, ferry ticket, and lunch.

So the guide picked us up at the hotel around 8.30am. And it took around 3.5 hours drive from hanoi city to halong. I imagined of big bus but.. we used mini van! Super great! Our group was only around 15 persons in total. So in the middle way from hanoi to halong, we stopped by for toilet and snacks. And continued our journey until we reached boat terminal.

We got into the boat directly after the guide distributed ticket and they served lunch while we were starting to sail. The lunch was great! 1 table filled by 6 persons and the menu was packed, fish, springrolls, chicken, and soup.

The boat had 2 floor. So after done lunch, we went up to take some photos and enjoy the view. It super gloomy but super pretty and mysterous.

After around 40 minutes sailing, it stopped by and chose our included activities whether kayaking or small boat riding. We chose kayaking ofcourse!! Exercise time HAHA we did it for 30 minutes and super unforgetable moment! We got into a cave and it was super beautiful.

After that we got back to the main boat and sailed to another place, i forgetted the name sorry but it a super big cave that found by a fisherman. We did a lil hike and got into the cave. Inside super beautiful with stalactite and stalacmid. 

And done! We got back to the boat, they served last fresh fruit before we go back to the boat terminal and take our minivan back to hanoi city. All the tour finished around 4pm. And we were super happy and statisfied ♡

So for you whom has only short time in hanoi, try to take a day trip to halongbay. No wonder it become one of Unesco preserved place :)

[VIETNAM-CAMBODIA] 5 MUST EAT IN HOCHIMINH CITY! ( +1 BEST JUICE EVER)

My vietnamese friend said actually in HCMC doesnt really have local food except southern style pho. But me and my boyfie found some of " 맛집 or famous place" from internet, and in this post we will give you real score is it really worth to try. SO LET'S STARTED!

we found it randomly because it located across our hostel. Actually "Hu Tiu Nam Vang" is named for streetfood that sell noodle soup which you can find everywhere in HCMC. Here we ordered BOKHO or beef stew suprisingly SUPER GOOD beef so tender and soup super clear and not fatty ♡ loveeeee

OMGGGGGGG finally its my first banhmi in HCMC and one of the best ♡♡ super soft baguette with super crispy pork belly omg omg no comment

BANH MI HOA MA

Quite pricey but worth the money, no wonder so famous around tourist. So inside has 2 eggs, sausages, and fried fish cakes. Mix together and eat together with baguette

BANH XEO 46A

Recommended menu: Banh Xeo Special (VND 75000)

Banh xeo is vietnamese style of savory fried pancake. Inside has small prawns and beansprouts. You eat this together with greens and dippin in fiah sauce. Its good but not super wow

Many websites put this on as one as the best pho in HCMC and it is!! Really!!!! Their pho super great with medium tendon and meatballs that we ordered ♡

Well i cant said this not good just not fit my taste. We ordered crab noodle which quite expensive (VND 100000) have much crabs inside and like leg bone :/ it just weird for me hik sorry but you can try yourself :3

FIVE BOYS JUICE

Recommended menu : Strawberry Mango (VND 25000)

I found this place from Korean blog, located only inside a small alley in PhamNguLao backpacker street. They sell all juices, coffee and satay. but here the star is SINTO or juice and it totally beyond my expectation HOW THEY MAKE JUICE THIS GEWD!!
